As the leaves start to turn colors and the air gets a little chillier, it can mean only one thing: fall fashion. Fall is regarded by many as the number one season to get fits off, and for good reason. More shoes enter the rotation, you unlock more materials and textures, and layering is where you can really make your mark. Here at CUFS Editorial, we have picked out some of our favorite pieces so you can stand out in the greatest season to get dressed. Happy Fall!
Leah’s Picks:
- Funky blazer- cause jackets aren’t rly a thing yet
- This is the season of layering! My fall essential is a wacky, colorful blazer that is the perfect finishing touch to an outfit. A funky blazer is my number one essential and I hope it will be yours too!
- Turtle Shell Sunglasses
- As we transition from summer to fall, consider wearing warm tone sunglasses to protect your eyes while strutting in style. Turtle shell sunglasses are perfect because they can complement any look due to their neutral tones.

- Dark red lip gloss with burgundy mascara
- The temperature is dropping and many are falling victim to chapped lips. To avoid such a catastrophe, lean into the dark sultry vibes of autumn and opt in for a dark red lip gloss. While you’re at it, why not couple it with a matching burgundy mascara?
- Every color of cord
- I love corduroys so much that I own them in almost every single color and highly recommend you do the same. It is a great way to elevate a look by adding an exciting texture contrast.
- CHUNKY Sweater
- I know I said a funky blazer was my essential, but I take it back because I will ALWAYS reach for a chunky sweater in the fall. There’s nothing better than walking around feeling like you’re wrapped in a hug. The sweater I linked is a personal favorite of mine and would also make for a good staple in the winter.
Annie’s Picks:
- Sam Edelman Penny Leather Riding Boots
- I cannot emphasize enough how chic and comfortable these boots are. As an avid traveler, I have worn these everywhere and have not complained once! I love the juxtaposition of these boots, specifically in dark brown leather, with a light colored short or dress.
- Bibi Lou Zagreb Leather Loafers
- The color of these loafers is the perfect pop for fall. It’s rich, sophisticated, and contrasts the gold buckle to create an iconic autumn vibe. The sleek, sloped shape of these loafers is so flattering and great poking out from under pants or a long skirt.
- Celine Gold Triomphe Sunglasses
- The most incredible, flattering pair of sunglasses ever! I literally gasped when I put these on. They elevate any look with the pop of gold and contrast between the sharp edges of the frames and circular lenses.
- Babaton Slouch Coat
- I will never stop raving about the quality of a good wool coat. Living in a cold climate requires a reliable coat. As a fashion fanatic, I also want to look good. The rich chestnut color and oversized fit is both cozy and sophisticated.
- Reformation Willene Dress
- A gorgeous neckline with beautiful tailoring will never fail for fall. This dress cuts beautifully in every way to create a flattering shape on the body. The color is such a good staple for fall and the design allows it to be dressed up or down.
Nick’s Picks:
- Fairfax Vegan Blouson
- The perfect leather blouson that manages to maintain a very modern allure but still will make you look like all those James Dean moodboard pictures. Ultimately, it’s a great light jacket that will carry you far through the season in style.
- The Oysterman Sweater
- A gorgeous fall sweater that won’t look out of place whether you’re at the fountain in Washington Square Park or dockside on a coastal town in Maine. Sweaters are the most important fall staple ( per Leah) and this is without a doubt the cream of the crop.
- Belmondo Shirt
- The problem with a lot of transitional shirting is that it just ends up being winter shirts that you wear unbuttoned with a t-shirt underneath. Wynona Studio, however, solved this problem with their Belmondo shirt that gives you the structure and warmth provided by the Merino wool but harkens back to warmer weather with the camp collar and flowy draping.
- Dobby Cloth Green Check
- Quite possibly the perfect flannel. 100% Japanese milled cotton to give the softest feeling while keeping the western roots of the brand alive with pearl snaps and a single saber tooth pocket for all the real and concrete cowboys alike.
- Campo in Marrone
- Truly anything from this new collection from Libero World is going to be a wardrobe standout for a while, but this corduroy pair is the perfect autumnal pant. A wide and billowy silhouette, prominent reverse pleat, and military flap pockets come together to create a very fashion forward garment that remains true to corduroy’s utilitarian roots.
